Siri looks to be headed to the iPad

Rumors have been running rampant about where the Apple iPhone voice assistant, Siri, will make her next appearance, and according to a report from 9to5Mac, Siri soon could be guiding iPad owners everywhere. Even people with older versions of the tablet that need iPad repair may be able to use Siri on their updated operating system, it seems.

“Come this fall, people will start talking to their iPads,” the news source said. “Apple’s breakthrough Siri Assistant, based on an incredible artificial-intelligence system, will no longer be exclusive to users of the popular iPhone 4S. According to trusted sources, one of the tentpole iOS 6 features is Siri support on the iPad. Not just the Voice Dictation brought to the iPad with the third-generation models and iOS 5.1, but the complete Siri voice assistant.”

The iPad will not have the full-screen experience, but instead have a smaller version of Siri, which makes sense with the device's much larger display.

CNET said Apple will fully reveal details of the operating system's upgrade in June. People looking for an iPad repair service should be happy to know that they don't have to drop another $600 to get cool new features like Siri.
