Report hints that Apple and Intel are working together to create new smart watches

iPhone /

Chinese tech site TGBus recently reported that tech giants Apple and Intel have teamed up and are currently working together to create a new Bluetooth-enabled smart watch. The report indicated that the watch is rumored to include a 1.5-inch OLED display from RITEK subsidiary RiT display. It is expected to launch in the first half of 2013, but MacRumors noted that the complete details about Apple's new smart watch are not known at this time.

MacRumors contributor Eric Slivka  translated the vital information found in TGBus' recent article, detailing that the new Apple watch was compared to Sony's SmartWatch. Apple's Siri voice assistant technology will likely mean that Apple's smart watch model will be more easily integrated with iPhone devices, and this technology could allow users to answer calls to their iPhones directly through the watch.

If you find yourself a proud owner of Apple's smart watch in the near future, it is likely that one of the most popular features will be the ability to answer calls with the watch itself. If you should become too focused on the smart watch and drop your iPhone in the process, iResQ's iPhone repair services can get you back synched and integrated before you know it.
