Operating system upgrades for Apple may hit iPad later

Apple's upcoming September announcement will likely feature the reveal of the final version of iOS 7, an operating system that will support all of the company's devices, including the iPad, iPhone and iPod. This will support iPhones 4, 4S and 5, as well as the fifth-generation iPod touch, Pad 2, iPad mini, and both Retina iPads. However, 9to5Mac reported that the tablet builds of this operating system may be running slightly behind that of the iPhone and iPod. Users who want to upgrade their tablet but have one that may not be properly functioning can contact iResQ for iPad repair to get it up and running before the release of the new system.

Reporting on some talks within the company, there is a feeling among Apple developers that these iPad builds of the OS have been unstable thus far.

“There is historical precedent for small, temporary software fragmentation between Apple's small- and large-screened devices,” Ars Technica said. “The original iPad shipped with a tablet-exclusive version 3.2 of what would come to be called iOS, and only iPhones and iPods ever saw iOS versions 4.0 and 4.1. A delayed release for the iPad version of iOS 7 would be the first major split between the phones and tablets since iOS 4.2 brought them together back in November of 2010, though.”

Many new features for iPad users
Although there may be a wait, iPad users will likely see a lot of useful features in the new iOS 7, according to TechRepublic. A redesigned user interface with simplified menus, icons and operations will come in addition to multitasking capabilities, a better web browser, improved weather app and better messages.

Users of the Apple tablet have been expressing frustration with the settings and configuration menus on the current iOS, which is also scheduled to be improved, according to the news source.

“In iOS 7, a new Control Center interface provides quick access to common controls, such as screen brightness, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi configuration,” TechRepublic said. “While meeting with clients, working from an airport or operating otherwise on the go, which also typically means in a hurry, iOS users will find it possible to enable AirPlay, access common critical functions, and make changes to other common general settings.”

Sharing files with AirDrop will also be made easier on iOS 7. Those with devices in need of a fix to use this new system can easily get iPad repair through the trained pros at iResQ.
