New iPhone gadgets to improve health and security debut at CES

While Apple's absence from the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show, which is underway in Las Vegas from January 8 to 11, has left some commentators uninterested, even without Apple's presence at the giant tech show, there are gadgets worth investigating for your iOS device.

PCWorld reported that iHealth Labs has expanded its health and fitness-related gadget offerings with two new products for iOS devices: a gluco-monitoring system and a gadget used to measure blood oxygen levels. These two appliances work with iOS devices via a Bluetooth connection, and both are expected to hit the market later this year.

Another interesting tech development is startup company iSmartAlarm, which sells a suite of iPhone-compatible home security products, according to a separate PCWorld article. The company sells a package comprised of a control cube, a series of motion sensors, contact sensors for windows and doors, a camera and a remote control.

If you should drop and break your iPhone screen while tinkering with your latest iOS gadget, iResQ's iPhone screen repair services can get things back to working order in no time.
