In case you needed another reason to love your iPad, a recent comparison showed that the iPad’s display is has better color and sharper text than the Microsoft Surface RT.

According to Cult of Mac, Microsoft claimed that the display of its Surface RT would be superior to the Retina display in Apple’s iPad. With the help of a little scientific investigation, the article reported on the findings of Dr. Raymond Soneira who set out to prove once and for all which screen was superior.

Soneira compared the third-generation iPad with the Surface RT and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1. Not only did he find that the iPad had “significantly better” color saturation, color accuracy and sharper text, but that even the iPad 2 display had better color than the Microsoft tablet.

With such a sparkling display, it is no wonder that the iPad is the centerpiece of Apple’s Holiday Gift Guide. A MacWorld article explained that the Gift Guide features gifts for iPad owners, such as the iPad Smart Cover.
