iPad and iPad mini atop holiday wish lists

If he’s really making a list and checking it twice, Santa Claus better have a lot of Apple products to hand out because the iPad and iPad mini rank atop many holiday gift lists.

A PriceGrabber winter holiday shopping survey found that customers preferred the iPad to other tablets. According to the survey findings, 63 percent of respondents said that they would prefer the iPad 3 or iPad 4 as gifts. The Apple products handedly outpaced other tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Microsoft Surface tablet, with 22 percent and 13 percent of respondents respectively saying that would prefer each device.

The PriceGrabber survey found that the iPad mini was chosen as the preferred lower price tablet, beating out similar products like the Google Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire. Forty five percent of respondents said that they were likely to buy a iPad mini as a gift for this holiday season compared to 27 percent of respondents saying they would purchase the Amazon Kindle Fire. Forty-seven percent of those who preferred the iPad said that the device’s size and ease of portability were enticing. In addition, 38 percent of the respondents said they were more likely to buy the iPad mini because of its lower price.

With a ComputerWorld article noting to a tight supply of the iPad mini, now may be a good time to invest in iPad repair and give yourself the gift that keeps on giving.
