How Apple fared in 2012

This past year was the first full year that Apple did not have Steve Jobs leading the company, and according to 9To5Mac, it was a particularly "prolific" year in terms of both new products and company changes.

9To5Mac recently summed up its top Apple stories of 2012, with the iPhone 5 launch, the redesigned third generation iPad and the debut of the iPad mini topping the list. Apple TV rumors were also highly publicized this past year.

"With Apple moving forward into the 'Post-PC' world that it created with the iPod, iPhone and iPad, many were surprised that 2012 turned out to be one of the most important years in the history of the Mac," 9To5Mac reported.

CNet also recently released a list of its top 10 Mac apps of 2012. For the top 10 Mac Software programs of 2012, the Avast Free Antivirus topped the list with close to 1.3 million downloads in 2012. VirtualDJ Home, Hotspot Shield, Mozilla Firefox and VLC Media Player were the apps that rounded out the top five. TeamViewer, Adobe Flash Player, Microsoft Office 2011, Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard and RAR Expander were also among this year's top 10 apps.

If you've taken advantage of Apple's "prolific" year, iResQ's iPhone, iPad, iPod and MacBook repair services are excellent to keep in mind should anything happen to your Apple devices.
