How to Fix an iPad or iPhone When It Won’t Turn On

iPhone /

A common problem iPads and iPhones have is that they seem to turn off without notice. When you try to turn it back on, it won’t do anything. No matter what you do, it just seems dead.

The good news is that it’s not dead. There is a way to get it to come back on again. Just follow these tips.

Make sure it won’t turn on by trying to power it on again. Press down the power button. If you don’t see it come on like it usually does, head on to the next step.

The next solution to try is a soft reset. Hold down the power and Home button for at least 10 seconds. You should see the Apple symbol come up. If you don’t, you’ll need to go to the next one.

Try plugging your iPad in to charge it. You should see the battery image come up on the iPad. If your iPad’s battery has completed depleted, this is the reason why nothing will make it turn on. Wait a few minutes for it to charge a little, and then turn it on. If it doesn’t turn on, you have one more solution to try.

Restore the device with iTunes. Once it is completely charged, you can plug it into your computer to restore it. This can usually kick whatever bug that messed your iPad/iPhone up, so it will turn on again.

Unfortunately, if the restore didn’t work, the device may be dead. You can give us a call, and we can try to troubleshoot, but it will likely need a diagnostics. The good news is we don’t charge for diagnostics. Just send your device in and pay shipping. We will contact you when we find out what’s wrong with it. You can then decide if you want us to repair it or you want it back to dispose of it.

We hope this helped you solve your iPad/iPhone won’t turn on problem.
