Apple iPad tips and tricks: How to make iPad shortcuts

iPad /

Everyone loves their Apple devices, from iPods to iPhones and iPads. The advent of the iPad has revolutionized consumer technology, but what good is this shiny gadget if you don't know how to use it? Actually, there are a bunch of tips and tricks that can let you get the most from your iPad.

If you visit a website an awful lot or it is a particular favorite of yours, you can make your life easier by adding a website shortcut to the home screen. This is not as difficult to do as you might think. In fact, all you need to do is open up the Safari browser on your iPad and type in the URL address for your favorite site. Once you have arrived at the webpage you wish to create a shortcut for, look at the top of the page where you should see a “+” sign just to the left of the text box for the URL address.

Tap the “+” sign and it should open a small menu below with options that include: Add Bookmark, Add to Home Screen and Mail Link to this Page. You'll want to click on Add to Home Screen. This will create a shortcut icon on your home screen, and you can now enjoy one-click access to your favorite websites.

How easy was that? This is just one way to really kick up the personalization for your Apple devices. If there are any problems when you try to follow these steps, there could be an internal error on the device or the glass digitizer could even be malfunctioning and not registering your touches. For any problems, iResQ's iPad repair services have got you covered.
